Role Overview

We are currently seeking a talented and driven Design Manager to join a renowned Central London team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, innovative schemes within commercial D&B. As a Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative vision of the firm, leading a team of designers, and ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards within budget and on time.

 

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a talented design team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.

  • Design Process Management: Oversee the entire design process from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.

  • Client Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, offering expert advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Budget and Timeline Management: Monitor project budgets and timelines, adjusting as necessary to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the design process, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness.

 

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Design Manager in the architectural or construction industry.

  • Education: A degree in architecture or construction management, ARB/MCIOB accreditation advantageous.

  • Creativity: Previous experience in a creative design role, with the ability to inspire and nurture creativity in others.

  • On-Site Knowledge: Strong on-site knowledge, with a practical understanding of construction processes and challenges.

  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational abilities, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.

  • Leadership: A natural leader who can motivate and guide a team to achieve their best work.
